Our People

Westwolds has a great reputation in Burton Joyce and its neighbouring villages/areas and this reputation has developed primarily because of the highly skilled, trained and experienced staff that work for us. Westwolds has a strong leadership team which provides robust strategic and operational direction to the home. The directors/promoters of the home have operated in the sector for many years and bring with them a wealth of experience. The manager and deputy managers also bring with them several years of experience of operating in the sector. The directors and senior management work closely together to ensure that high standards are maintained at all times and the home remains at the forefront of innovation when it comes to care for the elderly.

Home Manager 

I have been working in the care sector since 1992. I started working at Westwolds in 2003 as a care assistant and now as the home manager which allowed me to gain all relevant qualifications including level 5 in health and social care in 2018. I feel great sense of achievement in my role supporting staff to lead a person-centred approach to care. All residents’ needs are catered to on an individual basis to ensure that they received the best quality of care. Westwolds is in the heart of the Burton Joyce, and we have a good working relationship with local community.

Deputy Manager

I have been in the care sector since 2015, I first started working in the domiciliary care industry before joining Westwolds in 2018. I first started working at Westwolds as a care assistant and worked up the ranks to deputy manager. Westwolds is a very friendly and welcoming home. Our directors provide us with any support we require, and the staff here ensure they go above and beyond to meet our resident’s needs.  Whilst working through a global pandemic I also completed my level 5 in health and social care and look forward to continuing to expand my knowledge.

Administrator

I have been working as the administrator at Westwolds since 2012. I am originally from Liverpool and since moving to Nottingham, Westwolds has become a second family to me. I strive on ensuring that all admin duties are tended to on a daily basis and enjoy the variety of my work. Westwolds works well as a team and all departments are recognised for all their hard work and commitment. All our residents are treated with dignity and respect. Westwolds offers great career progression including myself I now have a qualification in bookkeeping and now work as the administration and payroll manager.
